No thread for the game? Really

Hall down 8 with just over 4 minutes. Playing very sloppy tonight, but they still have a shot. The big 3 have been way
off their games tonight. They have been forced into a half court game by the Rutgers' zone

Some tough offensive sets when SHU came back to tie. Without Simmons on the court they did not run good sets. Not playing their game tonight, but give Rutgers a good deal of credit.

Simmons just fouled out. All reach in reach in fouls. terrible call there.

Hall down 7 just over a minute. 73-66. This is a dam shame because they are playing so below their skillsets. Rutgers playing very well. Rutgers has some nice size in the paint.

Down 11 under a minute.

I wish Tony B had called a timeout at 60-60 to set up a play. Maybe he does also. Great season with a very poor last game. The Hall has played teams that are just as good as Rutgers this season. Give Rutgers credit, but the moment was too big I guess and the girls could not elevate their intensity.

I missed the first half due to family obligations, but in the second half, we made a comeback and couldn't turn the corner. Rutgers played well, we did not. Rutgers forced us to take low percentage shots and we missed the few easy shots we had. Plus, we were a disaster at the free throw line.

Good game Rutgers. Great season Pirates! Nothing to hang your head about and I'm looking forward to next season.

79-66 Final. Didn't see that coming in any way. I thought that's what would happen against UConn if they advanced.

GREAT GREAT SEASON and this team made us so proud. Keep the heads up and we all appreciate this really terrific season.

Tough game, didn't play their "A" game and refs didn't help, but a great season with congrats to the coaches and the Lady Pirates.

Here in Storrs... very disappointing performance.

It's hard to win when you miss so many free throws, layups and fast breaks. They didn't capitalize on their defense. They still managed to tie it late only to take bunch of tough shots.

There was a nice turnout by about 250 Pirate fans.

Overall great season, but the last two games were very poor. They need to land a strong rebounder.

A special season for a special team . Thanks to Tony , his coaches and especially the players.
They left it all out on the floor , they played with spirit, they did their best.

Heads high ladies, you made us proud.

Good game. CVS won this game. With Davis out and Holloway playing on one leg her decision to go zone and make SHU play halfcourr won the game. We didn't have the depth tonight to press and run with you. Congrats on a great season.

Yes. No running = SHU struggling. DePaul gave her a blueprint in the Big East final and she coached the Scarlet Knights well.

The zone was the difference. It took both Simmons girls out of the game.

SHU plays an up and down brand of BB and scores off their defense. I would rather have seen RU press all game instead of trying to make it a half court affair.

The Pirate play with high energy and when they are on their game it's very entertaining. But the opposite can happen when the competition is talented and slows the game down. Then the Hall loses discipline and sometimes takes a lot of poor percentage shots.

You can get away with that against the Providences, Georgetowns and many other Big East teams. You can't get away with that against a well coached Rutgers team.

I agree with everything Dan said I hope they work on their zone offense in the off season
that is what cost them in their last two game and again I would like to thank Pirate Blue for the great seats!!!

You have to walk before you can run. Playing teams like DePaul and then Rutgers in such meaningful games, teams that have been there before exploited our weaknesses.

But even with that said what Tony has done here in two short years is absolutely amazing.

Now he'll need a few years to build the program with his recruits. But the days of losing 20 games and not being competitive are over. We won't be a 6 loss team next season but I have total confidence that we are going to be stronger each preceding year until once again we are at the top of the Big East.
