French virologist and Nobel Prize winner Luc Montagnier called mass vaccination against the coronavirus during the pandemic “unthinkable” and a historical blunder that is “creating the variants” and leading to deaths from the disease.

“It’s an enormous mistake, isn’t it? A scientific error as well as a medical error. It is an unacceptable mistake,” Montagnier said in an interview translated and published by the RAIR Foundation USA yesterday. “The history books will show that, because it is the vaccination that is creating the variants.”

Interesting article, but not sure I follow the thought process about vaccines causing variant mutations.

I do agree regarding blood clots and the possible origin of the virus. Warrants further investigation.

Yeah, there was a lot of nonsense in that article. Vaccines significantly decrease the likelihood of mutations because of how effective they are at preventing infection in the first place. I'd think we would have all had Measles by now if that were not the case.

Agree that the origin should continue to be investigated though.

The article isn't well written so I can't say I understand the logic either.

However, the virologist making the declaration is quite notable: he is the discoverer of HIV and received the 2008 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his discovery.
