The weird thing about this is that Gov Murphy was out in support of Norcross along with Christie, Corzine and McGreevey. So it doesn’t seem that this indictment was political. The case from the indictment seemed very weak to me from the outset. I don’t think this was political as the indictment was more a product of incompetence by the AG’s office.Case was very weak according a number of lawyers and had politics all over it not surprising in democratic administration that didn’t like power broker George.

Don’t get me wrong, Norcross is shady but this indictment was lame.
Well, it does not take Murphy off the hook. His appointments on AG’s were horrific. On paper Grewal at least looked qualified but he ended up being a disaster. Grewal, Andrew Bruck and the worst of all Platkin. He nominated Platkin even though he previously screwed up the the rape allegation of Katie Brennen. He later appoints him AG! You can’t make this stuff up.Platkin bucked Murphy last year on eliminating the county line, which (allegedly) made Murphy furious, so I don't think that they are as close as they once were.
