Dixon has got the donut for the half 0, 0, 0 --game tied at the half. He is getting doubled a lot but doesn't look like he gives a hoot--see what he does in the second half

Guess he “gives a hoot.” He’s got 22 pts in the 2nd half 😀

This has got to be it for Neptune. Another blown late game lead. If not for some extreme good fortune he would no doubt be done after this season. We’ll see.
Neptune is simply amazing --this time a p point lead with 3:30 left?? Amazing

The BE is weaker this year and not as well regarded as last year and what happened to SHU? Expecting 4 BE teams to get in will only happen if the other teams outside the BE cooperate and loose bigly.

Idk about Xavier. That 1 Q1 win is not good. They’re right at the cut line.

But watch this year be chalk in Championship Week, which screwed is last year, LOL.

You would think so, but the question is who would replace him?

you don't want to replace the legend, you want to replace the guy who replaced the legend.

How about Tony Bennett, or is he still tied into UVA after "retiring"?

I heard last night at our game that Dixon is making more NIL money than our entire team.
The rumor is that most every team in the Big East has 1 player making more than our entire roster. Not sure if I believe it but the source was fairly reliable.

That’s the rumor now. Before the season it wasn’t with an exception or two. When you go back to the summer posts, the numbers even on the high end were being talked about differently, and that’s with stuff from the Trilly discord.

I think there is lots of misinformation out there.

I also think that when a school, coach, fan base etc has a tough year, and easy narrative to further to offset that is the NIL piece. And so I think rumors and numbers start to grow like wildfire.

This source is not connected to Seton Hall. Not trying to create some narrative, but feel free to dispel all you like.

I’m not saying you are. I’m saying people talk out of their a$$ all the time with this NIL stuff - I’m sure you are just posting what you heard. I’m friends with lots of folks connected to the NJ prep basketball scene, high level at both the Catholic and Public schools. I hear all kinds of conflicting stuff. For example I posted over the summer that I was told Big Cliff was lured out of the portal by one team only to have SEC and Big 12 schools basically blow that team out of the water where they couldn’t come close to affording or offering what those football schools were putting up. And that Big Cliff # seems “light” compared to what’s getting floated now.

You're clearly not paying attention to what's going on. It's very apparent four BE teams are in the field.

Nova attendance is down 24% this season in BE games. If that isn’t reason enough for Neptune to go. SHU down 8%. Not sure of the source on this.

That's likely derived from something which came out publicly (I saw a reference on Twitter) to Dixon having various NIL deals with various parties, which included certain incentive-based components. Apparently he's hit on several (not sure the specifics) and that brought his total NIL package to in excess of $1.5M. The narrative is that we had something in that range, I believe, although again I think it depends who you ask, when you ask, and other stuff.

Speaking of attendance, did anyone see that mention today of Gtown's Big East attendance? My god. Less than 6,000 people on average in their 20,000 arena, or something like that.

I was very impressed with creighton last night. In the past was never to high on them because of their finesse style soft style..
They seem to be more physical this year and having high IQ players at every position who shoot lights out doesn't hurt.
Of course they always shoot lights out against us..

Article says Dixon is making $1.7M in NIL this year. My guess is the only other BE team that is actually paying one player more than $1M is St Johns, but who the hell actually knows.

Kam Jones was rumored to have the highest NIL in the league. Followed by Kalk. But yes who the hell knows.

They've been bad for a dozen years or more. Occasionally awful, too. I guess they got used to the success of old and none of this chronic failure interests their fans.
