NYC bans

1) Contrasting the silliness of some pointing out the increases in new cases, new hospitalizations, etc. every day, etc.

2) Pointing out how low actual deaths are per day now.

If you were following along, you'd note how I have always said the day of the week affects reporting.
ah gotcha. it was more facetious. some of these inter thread topics are hard to keep up with. anyway, we have an easy chart to refrence now

False.

Sweden 545 deaths per million.
Norway 46
Finland 59

How were 2 surrounding countries able to avoid it running its course?

More information on Sweden. This year hasn't been entirely out of the ordinary.

Yes.

Do you agree that their neighbors contained the virus and that it needing to "run its course" is not true at all?

That Sweden was still placing certain restrictions, and their citizens were much more compliant than US citizens in risk mitigation and still had a much worse response than their neighbors?

The health minister of Sweden has already gone on record saying they made a mistake.

That's not an accurate portrayal what he said.

He said they made some mistakes and that if he had to do it all over again based on the data that we now know he would do something in between what he did and what other countries did.

A man was working under his car which was jacked up. He realized he needed the car to be a little bit higher than his jack would go. He thought to himself he could get another jack which will waste a lot of time, or he could jury rig it on a piece of cardboard to get the extra room he needed.

As opts for option B. After the car falls on him and breaks all of his bones, he says to himself “perhaps something in between the two options would have been better”.

Man, you love false equivalencies.

As do you (and 09) when it’s something you want to believe.

The term "conspiracy theory" was implemented to great use by the CIA to attack and discredit those who questioned certain things. It has now been adopted widely in the culture for the same reason.

I don't judge anyone for looking into or even believing some things that aren't mainstream. Diversity of thought is a good thing. For instance, I'm a firm believer that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone in the JFK assassination. That's the official line, but it doesn't hold up when you look at all the evidence in total. It's a so-called "conspiracy theory" but the actual conspiracy theory is the official story.

That’s fine. I’m not arguing. I approach a lot of things similarly. Just noticed that 85 takes issue when I do but doesn’t comment on yours because you guys agree more lately.

Merge, Just having some fun, but you must admit most of your Trump theories were pretty wild and out there.

Which ones?

Most stemmed from a belief that Russia has something on Trump. I haven’t changed my thoughts on that much at all, and the bounty stuff only strengthens that opinion.

He is afraid of Putin. Why?

Stop, please stop.

I didn’t start. You asked.... but since you did, you’re good with how the president handled reports of Russians paying people to kill US soldiers?
That’s a new theory. I’m talking about the meetings in Trump Tower and some of the other nonsense that you claimed would surely get him impeached.

I didn’t realize that Republicans wouldn’t care at all. I thought Mueller would go after him for obstruction of justice but also said it wasn’t a possible outcome because of the OLC opinion.

Mueller confirmed what Jr did was not legal. I didn’t think he would be impeached for that. Wasn’t even sure Jr would be charged, just knew what he did wasn’t legal, and I was correct.

Russians did hack the DNC and gave the information to Wikileaks. Roger stone was communicating with Wikileaks. My conspiracy theory is that Trump knew what was going on at Wikileaks. Gates, Cohen and Manafort all testified that Trump was aware. I suppose you could argue that Trump didn’t know it was coming from Russia?

I haven’t changed the view that Russia wanted Trump to win the GOP nomination and presidency because they have leverage over him. There have been absolutely no actions by Trump as president to make me question that. Ignoring the Russian bounties is absolutely egregious.

What explains how he handled that story other than he is scared of Putin?

Don’t trip while you’re backpedaling on your original theory of the meeting in Trump Tower. You had a neatly detailed conspiracy based on that meeting, none of which came close to happening.

I mean the conversations are are still here...

I have no evidence other than Trump admitting he took a meeting from a Russian national who wanted to help his father win an election.

Trump says he didn't know who he was meeting with, but brought along kushner and manafort. My opinion is that is absurd. The reason he is saying he didn't know who it was is because the premise of the meeting would be illegal.

I posted that as Jr was denying he knew what the meeting was related to and that he didn’t know who he was meeting.

What did I get wrong?

Only thing I got wrong was that they got something from that meeting, as it appears they did not.

You were claiming at the time that it was going to lead to impeachment.

Because of the Trump tower meeting? No. I never said or thought that.

I did think he would be impeached because of the Russia investigation overall though. Turns out that Republicans do not care about efforts to obstruct the investigation and he will get away with that, at least until he is out of office.

The moth has flitted back to Russian conclusion investigation and can't understand why that light is extinguished also. LOFL

Absurd analogy.

Here is what he said:

“If we were to encounter the same illness with the same knowledge that we have today, I think our response would land somewhere in between what Sweden did and what the rest of the world has done,” Anders Tegnell said in an interview with Swedish Radio.

That was posted to counter a post that said he had gone on record as having 'made a mistake'. That posted does not accurately reflect what he went on the record with.

Listen to entire interview before you post or comment on it.

BTW, I was surprised to learn that you know what a car jack is. I don't know anyone who would use cardboard under a jack to gain more height. You might use a single sheet to catch oil or grease. To raise the height of a jack yo would use blocks of wood, likely 2X6s. Moreover, you never work on a car that is supported only by the jack. After you raise the car with the jack, you then lower it onto jack stands.

Its much worse than that.

The point is, you err on the side of caution when you can’t undo something. I don’t care if he calls it a mistake or “potential for improvement”...

Well then make that point instead of talking about cardboard and car jacks.

I wasn't defending the health minister only pointing out that the poster misrepresented what he said.

kinda strange tho, a simple virus like the flu doesnt extend itself into deep july during a heatwave. meanwhile the sun/bible belt states are basically worse than entire countries right now. its not "nothing".

swedens plan didnt work, but japans did. wear masks everwhere people. limit human interaction.
You were 💯 wrong 🤣
