OT Obama at Mandela Memorial Service

Pretty funny pictures of the First Lady's disapproving glances Toward her husband as he yucks it up with Danish Prime Minister. Apparently Michelle wound up changing seats with him like my Mom used to do with my brother and me when we were 7 years old. Not sure how the seat change came about but I'd love to hear what she said to him. Great fodder for late night comedians.

Have to admit that the whole sign language interpreter thing is kind of funny. Seems like a lot of people asleep at the wheel on this one, including the Secret Service. The schizophrenia card sounds a bit suspicious...sounds like a guy who wanted to play the practical joke of all time and pulled it off.

What's amazing is that he was up there "interpreting" for such an extended period of time without being pulled off the stage. I believe I read somewhere that he was onstage for at least a couple of hours. Someone was asleep at the switch on this one.

I guess the question is, Did he start signing jibberish right from the start or did it happen much later in the program? If it was at the start, it really is amazing in this instant IM'ing and texting information age that someone could have been doing this for two hours without any word getting to anyone there.
