Seemed like it was Point guard by committee last night, but is it fair to say that Jenkins is a PG? Seems to have best IQ on the floor and can do a lot of things. Dual appeared to be primary handler when he was on the floor. I don’t like Dylan as PG. Thought Harmon was going to be more of a contributor but he got into early foul trouble and never found a way to get on the floor again after that.

Shaheen clearly trying to figure out the personnel he has and who to play where.

Right now, I’m going to say the best 5 we have regardless of position are;

Jenkins
Coleman
Addae Wusu
Toumi
I guess Prince although there is something about the way he played that made me think he is not as fierce on the boards as we need. Good FT shooting Godswill shows some potential.

Now we definitely have some good depth with Dual, Middleton, Tubek. I’m going to assume Harmon will offer more. Gus might give us 5 to 10 mins at the 5 but I don’t see too much coming from him.

Jenkins is a point guard when playing mid majors, going to be a problem against anyone else. That being said he’s better than Wusu

Hopefully it’s an early season thing. I’m very against the PG by committee or “point forward” nonsense. A team needs a leader or somebody they can get the ball to in tough times to reset the offense. Otherwise it’s just chaos and leads to 1 on 1’s

Wusu is not a PG.I'm not sure he's a SG either as he looked like brick city from outside last night just as he was last year.That said he plays great defense,rebounds and brins energy.If we play 3 guards he's the third guard.

I agree. And I fear that as the only returning starter or upperclassman that he’s automatically going to be given the role of “the guy” or the de facto PG. Which I don’t agree with either. He really doesn’t have a position on offense, not good enough to be a PG or SG and not tall enough or quick enough to be a SF….

And I may be wrong but I’m going to assume we don’t have a low post scoring option. Which essentially means when DAW is on the floor we are counting on the 3 wings to make magic happen. Not a great way to play basketball.

It’s Dual. With various others serving the backup role and ball handling responsibilities.
Agree on Dual. He’s a PG and is a defensive nightmare. Kadary lite, but he doesn’t take a play off. Needs to clean up passing and decision making but Sha is going to ride that horse.

He’s exactly Kadary under Willard. We’ll see substantial progress during the year
