Paul Mulcahy hits the portal

You feel soft about Spencer? I mean, I guess that's better than you're feeling hard about him?
Will give a team that has good size, length and athleticism a nice complimentary outside shooting threat. Making up for what they lost in that department between Hawkins, Alleyne and Joey California. Seems to make all the sense in the world for Uconn.

You should go on the RU forum and ask them!

Point taken.

FWIW, I did take a look at the RU forum. They are absolutely roasting Spencer, but seem to be giving Mulcahy a pass.

His stats are pretty good.

I suggested it as they have seen him play for 4 years and would be a better source to get first hand info. I have watched a few of their games and have seen him play well at times. Both Cam and Paul are decent offensive players. Paul can play out of control at times. Not sure how good defensively either player is. Both can be complementary players for a good team.

Neither played well and shot well when SHU beat RU at RU. They both were off their game that day.

college basketball sucks now
It pains me to say this, but I agree with you. I will never stop rooting for the Hall or going to NCAA Tournament games each year. But my love for the game has taken a big hit due to the NIL era and the Wild Wild West open transfer market. I’m sure my love for college hoops will be rekindled when the actual games begin. But for now I think the poster is correct that game right now really does suck.

I know it is not a popular opinion but if we can’t compete in BE because of low $ NIL kitty I would prefer dropping down to a conference like MACC where we would be competitive rather than a doormat in BE.
don't lose hope,, the complexion of NIL will change.

Not sure what Mulcahy is thinking with that move.
He's thinking that he can face some real competition instead of that weak Big 10. With no knowledge about the situation at all I got a funny feeling Quinerly goes to Rutgers.

They need a starting PG, he will get his NIL money and he will be coming home.

Mulcahy is going to have a hard time handling more athletic conferences vs. playing in the Big 10 which is all about grind it out half court offense/defense. To prepare for pro career, agreed he should see if he can hack it.

Why would Quinerly want to waste a year?

Mulcahy usually got schooled any time he was matched up against a good sized, athletic guard. I think Kadary has had his way with him.
They both shot 1 for 6. Pm had 7 assts. Kr had 6 board and 6 steals
