Trying to take great advantage over situation...someone who needs a good beating

Great question horrible answer but what do you expect from trump.

I don’t expect much, but there is still that small percentage of me that thinks that in the time of a crisis, he might act presidential. He doesn’t have to be perfect but that was such a simple softball question... still shocking how badly he missed.

Apparently in that same conference when introducing Pompeo he called him the Secretary of the Deep State Department.

Trump is really a human dumpster.

Elitist assholes.
While I agree, oh, come on. As if this is not biz as usual for of the way the markets work.

Find one calamity that someone isnt exploiting. Ain't that america.

Trump is really a human dumpster.

Just think how bad the other politicians had to do in order for Trump to get elected. I won’t tell anyone what to think about the man, but the previous election was not about voting for Trump it was about voting against Washington. I’m sorry but I don’t see how Biden would make a better President. It’s like watching an athlete who didn’t it’s time to retire and is holding on too long.

That's the entire Baby Boomer generation, sadly. They don't want to give up power while simultaneously blaming every one else and other generations for America's problems.

Trump was the experiment. Biden is the reset button for people as they realize the experiment was a failure.

Biden was pretty much my last choice but I will gladly vote for a 4 year reset to an uninspiring 4 years over the current mess.

Unfortunately in NJ our opinions don’t matter. It’s going to come down what the people of Florida, PA, Michigan, Virginia, Ohio, and Wisconsin think. $1200 per person won’t go a long way in NJ but in many of those states it will cover real estate taxes for the year.

That’s really a gross generalization. There are responsible and irresponsible people in every age ethnic, religious group and political affiliation. It’s fair game to be critical of a political system that is not effectively working. It’s fair game to demand justice from those that abuse the system.

Baby boomers could just start voting for Gen X or Millennial candidates....

It's sad but true. Politics, business and society is still generally controlled by old white men who are looking to benefit themselves and their generation economically politically and socially.

And from a personal perspective... the vast majority of my co-workers friends and family members who are gen Xers, millennials or gen Zers all privately discuss how the baby boomers will completely ruin the country and planet before they give up power. Simply look at how little is being done it for climate change.

So I understand how many people don't like this point of view, but for everyone outside of the baby boomer generation this is how baby boomers are perceived. They are the cause of the problems they are not the solution to the problems and they won't let the younger generations into power positions to try to fix any of the problems.

They should have the freedom to vote for whoever they want. There's nothing sad about it. It's the freedom we have in this great country. Hopefully I make it to 90 and when I'm 90 I'm not going to want some 18-40 year old telling me how I should vote. I definitely agree it's time for some, not all, to go. The beauty of this country is everyone has 1 vote to make it happen.

That would be great if there were more millennial and Gen X candidates.

More generalizations. Zuckerberg is an old white man? Bill Gates and all of the other billionaires who have pledged 90% of their wealth to social causes? Blaming other generations or certain groups to make yourself feel better doesn’t accomplish anything IMO.

Lol.

millennials were being blamed for living at home because they made avocado toast. It had nothing to do with the baby boomers driving the economy into the ground while ignoring that we were in a recession in 2008.

Generalizations work both ways.

Those two statements really don't make much sense together...
NJ is voting democratic. There's really no contest in NJ. Biden won NJ. You don't need CNN's team or FOX's team to make the call. I will make the call right now. Biden wins NJ.

Individually I have the right to make my own vote. If enough people want to vote the old white men out it will happen, but individually I have the right to do it my way. I have right to vote Trump.

Where did I say they don’t work both ways? You’re kind of making my point.

Show me a millennial that has poor values and more often than not it goes back to parenting.

So you can keep lobbing these dumb broad stereotypes or suggest how we move forward.

i’m more concerned with why we can’t find more qualified candidates to lead our country. Especially with the technology we have that can create a movement and gain momentum at breakneck speed. Why don’t we have a third-party candidate emerging? You would think now more than ever someone with a platform that addresses the concerns that you pointed out can get a lot of support very quickly as a candidate especially given the two choices we are going to have.

Anything helps but that unfortunately is not going to be nearly enough to fix the economy in the short term if that is all they do.

You won't like it. So I'll just stop the conversation. Because my solution is generational.

Go ahead and try or keep keep whining...I get it...”old white man, blah, blah, blah...”
For all the complaints of old white men. They had the opportunity to vote for Corey, Kamala, Gabbard, Yang, Warren etc and it comes down to Biden vs Sanders. Actions speak louder than words.

Because the majority of voters are still baby boomers. And baby boomers keep voting for baby boomers.

Biden got his ass kicked early on. Baby boomers found others to vote for early on. Baby boomers were voting for Sanders? No freaking way.

Here's the real question....Why did all the candidates bow out when it looked like Sanders had a chance? Biden had no chance then and the baby boomers weren't loading up for Joe. He's won recently because baby boomers won't vote for Sanders. The real question is why did Mayor Pete bow out so early? When you answer those questions you'll know why we're left with 2 old white guys and it has nothing to do with the baby boomer population.

So yeah, there’s a DNC establishment that is pushing a candidate. Why couldn’t millennials and Gen Xers rally around one of the younger, pragmatic candidates? Why not rally your demographic? Quite frankly, I would’ve preferred seeing Yang or Gabbard as the Democratic candidate. (Delaney was my first choice). So why did all those younger candidates bow out so quickly? Are they part of the same problem?

I’ve been very clear that I am very critical about our political process today. We need new blood and we need a real leadership rather than kicking the can down the road. The selection is likely going to be a bigger joke than the last one. But I would rather work to influence change then sit on the sideline and whine. Take your pick. Signed, Old White Guy

I know 1200 for a week to come on this board may seem like a small quantity but think of people that gross current minimum wage

I just mean these payments will be a short term band-aid to help in an emergency situation. That's great and we need it. It will help, but the damage to the economy is going to be rough. It terms of political impact, we're not going to recover by November

We are going to need a massive stimulus bill to come out of this quickly.
