South Orange, N.J. -- With a BIG EAST Tournament bid within its reach, the Seton Hall women's soccer team returns home to Owen T. Carroll Field on Thursday evening for its regular season finale against UConn at 6 p.m.

It will be a "win-and-you're-in" scenario for the Pirates (6-6-5, 2-3-4 BIG EAST), who are in search of their first BIG EAST Tournament appearance since 2011.

  • The presenting sponsor of Thursday's fixture is Deep River Snacks. Deep River is a proud sponsor of Seton Hall Athletics and it encourages fans to try any of its unique chip flavors.
  • Free soft pretzels will be distributed to fans while supplies last.
  • The Pirates are playing for Mental Health Awareness and The Hidden Opponent, a non-profit organization that strives to bring attention to the importance of student-athlete mental health by sharing stories of student-athletes around the world and offering various programs for all athletes to prioritize mental health.   • Seton Hall has tied with two ranked teams this season in No. 24 Xavier (Oct. 1) and No. 12 Georgetown, marking the first time since becoming a varsity program in 1994 that the Pirates have taken a point against multiple ranked opponents in the same season.
  • Seton Hall has nine points in the BIG EAST standings, matching its most points in a season since 2013 when the Pirates also posted nine points.
  • The Pirates have scored 22 goals this season, their most since also posting 23 goals in 2011.
  • The Pirates are to 5-1-2 at Owen T. Carroll Field this season and haven't lost in South Orange since a 4-1 loss to Lafayette in the season opener.
  • Natalie Tavana leads the BIG EAST and ranks 13th in the country with 12 goals this season.
  • She ranks seconds in the BIG EAST and 25th nationally with 25 points.
  • Both are the most for a Pirate since Kelly Smith's 1999 season where she posted 62 points and 27 goals.
  • Tavana has five goals and 11 points against BIG EAST opponents.
  • Up to is Skyler Matusz, who leads the Pirates and ranks third in the BIG EAST with five assists.
