- The Seton Hall men's basketball team returns to Prudential Center on Sunday where it will play three of its final five games of the regular season starting with Xavier at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
- The Pirates have won two of the last three meetings against Xavier at Prudential Center.
- Seton Hall assistant coach Rasheen Davis spent two years as an assistant at Xavier under Chris Mack and he helped guide the Musketeers to two NCAA Tournaments in 2011 and 2012.
- Xavier head coach Sean Miller's father, John, was the head coach of the East squad that featured Shaheen Holloway at the 1996 McDonald's All-American Game that was held in Pittsburgh.
- The Pirates are two games removed from arguably its most significant win of the season as they defeated two-time defending national champion UConn, 69-68, in overtime at Prudential Center.
- The win was Seton Hall's fourth consecutive win against UConn at Prudential Center.
- Seton Hall improved to 3-0 on the season in overtime games and head coach Shaheen Holloway moved to 10-3 all-time in overtime games as a head coach.
- The Pirates, who had been hit with the injury bug for most of the conference season, saw the return of Scotty Middleton and Dylan Addae-Wusu against UConn on Saturday.
- Addae-Wusu scored the game-tying three-point field goal in regulation and Middleton scored the game-winning bucket off his own missed layup in overtime.
- In eight BIG EAST games this season, Addae-Wusu is averaging 11.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
- Jenkins (knee), who has led the Pirates in scoring six times this season and The Hall is 4-2 in those games, has missed eight straight games.
- Isaiah Coleman was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season on Monday after scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the win over UConn.
- Coleman is one of the top scorers in the BIG EAST in conference play where he ranks sixth in scoring averaging 17.4 points per game.
- He also ranks 12th in league in rebounding averaging 6.1 boards per contest.
- Coleman has posted 17 double-figure scoring games this season, the most for a Seton Hall sophomore since Myles Powell registered 30 double-figure scoring games in 2017-18.
- Coleman posted his second double-double of the season and his career at Georgetown on Feb. 8 where he scored 21 points and grabbed 10 boards.
- Coleman has scored in double-figures in 15 of his last 18 games and seven of those outputs were 20-point performances against BIG EAST teams.
- Also coming into his own is freshman center Godswill Erheriene who registered his first career double-double (10 points, 12 rebounds) in the win over the Huskies.
- Erheriene is averaging 8.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 28.1 minutes over the last three games.
- Seton Hall ranks second in the BIG EAST averaging 11.7 offensive rebounds per game
- According to KenPom, the Pirates rank eighth in Div. I in bench minutes (43.1 pct.).
- Seton Hall ranks second in the BIG EAST in bench scoring averaging 21.3 points per game.
- Saturday's win over the Huskies was a return to form game defensively for the Pirates as they held UConn to a season-worst 37 percent from the field and just 68 points in 45 minutes.
- Addae-Wusu trails only Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner for the most career BIG EAST games played among active players with 86.
- The Pirates have done a good job of taking care of the basketball, ranking 99th nationally and fourth in the BIG EAST with a +1.5 turnover margin, and turning teams over ranking third in the BIG EAST and 45th in Div. I averaging 14.1 forced turnovers per game.
