LAST GAME
Junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) erupted for a career-high 33 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter, and the Seton Hall women's basketball team snapped Villanova's nine-game win streak with a convincing 72-60 victory on Sunday.

The Pirates' victory is their fifth in a row and climbs them over .500 in BIG EAST play for the first time this season. The Hall used a 12-0 run between the first and second quarters to take the lead and never trailed again. The win also comes on a day that Pirates Katie Armstrong (Collegeville, Pa.) and Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) collected the 1,000th point of their respective careers.

Park-Lane was brilliant, going for a career-best 33 points on an efficient 11-for-15 shooting, which included 4-for-6 from three-point range and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. She scored 15 of the Pirates' 22 fourth quarter points. Park-Lane also pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists.

Cooks notched a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) was a third Pirate to reach double-figures in scoring. She narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals.

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Four Pirates scored in double-figures and the Seton Hall women's basketball team rallied to defeat Providence, 62-52, behind a strong fourth quarter for its sixth straight victory.

Junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) scored 13 of her 14 points in the game's final 7:49 and the Pirates used a 10-1 run to turn a four-point fourth quarter deficit into a five point lead.

Graduate student Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) scored a game-high 17 points to go with six rebounds and four assists. Senior Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) notched her seventh double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while junior Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) turned in 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting.

The Story:
Seton Hall started cold from the field, and didn't score its first points until a pair of free-throws by Cooks with 3:33 left in the first quarter. During that time, Providence built an 8-0 lead. The Hall's first field goal also came from Cooks with 2:17 left, and despite shooting just 2-for-13, it trailed only 10-6 after the first 10 minutes.

Trailing 16-11, the Pirates went on an 8-2 run, getting buckets from four different players to grab a 19-18 lead with 4:31 left in the first half. The Hall shot 50.0% in the second quarter, getting nine points from Espinoza-Hunter alone. The Pirates' defense held Providence without a made three-pointer in the first 20 minutes and forced eight Friars turnovers.

After an even third quarter, Providence scored the first four points of the fourth quarter to take a 43-39 lead with 8:00 remaining. Seton Hall responded with a game-changing 10-1 run, which featured three-pointers on back-to-back possessions by Park-Lane and was capped by a long two by Jackson to give the Pirates a 49-44 advantage with 5:00 to play. The Friars cut their deficit to three points, 51-48, with 3:30 to go, but Park-Lane drilled her third trifecta of the quarter on the ensuing possession to end Providence's threat.
