How It Happened

Wagner trimmed its deficit to two following a bases loaded walk in the top of the third before Brennan's RBI triple in the home half pushed The Hall's lead back to three, 4-1. The Pirates broke the door open in the bottom of the fourth with a six-run frame that made it 10-1 Pirates.

Anthony Ehly tossed two perfect frames in the fourth and fifth innings as the Pirates' pitching staff didn't allow a Wagner hit until the lead-off the batter in the top of the sixth. After a run scoring base hit from Bianco in the bottom of the sixth that made the score 14-1, Wagner pushed across four runs in the top of the seventh inning and another run in the eighth that made it 14-6.
