Pirates Welcome Fordham to Walsh Gym on Saturday Morning

You can’t compare men’s vs women’s achievements in basketball …. The difference between the haves and have nots is way too different. But no one is hating the program. For all the hype that’s generated from within, I just see the four 7th or below finishes in 8 years over a bunch of setting-the-bar-low WNIT bids (almost all with early exits) and two NCAA trips early in his time at SHU that also ended with first round losses. Those are facts and not hate. Everyone here just wishes for results equal to the annual hype. They’ve got around 30 more games this year to get those results. I don’t think anyone is hoping that they don’t.
There are 5 power conferences in women's BB. The ACC, The Big 10, the Big 12, the Pac 12 and the SEC.

There are a few other high majors not in those conferences.

The rest are mid-majors. SHU is one of the better teams of those mid majors.

Agree but that was a BAD lose . Completely out played in all aspects of the game. Hopefully that was a one game thing. I have no idea . I go to the games to support all Seton Hall athletics. I attend as many V ball, soccer, baseball and softball games as possible as well as a season ticket holder to the men's games.

You like the staff, they’ve become your friends and they feed you all of your women’s basketball info, but Seton Hall is at best a pretty much a historically good mid-level program under his watch, up from poor under Mangina/Donovan, with the better years early on. Nothing more, nothing less. I’d never say strong under any category. The key word there is historically. It’s what they’ve been, not a projection toward the future or anything like that. This will definitely be an interesting season in the conference, since the women’s side was really affected by Covid last year and so many teams were shut down and did not play close to full schedules.

Damn, Cooks almost had a triple double in her first game

21 points
9 rebounds
7 turnovers
First game back from injury and was still limping a little which may have slowed her down

Tough to say coming of Covid year with a lot of games not played, but It’s fair to say they are similar to SHU. Last year 12-6 and lost first round of A10.
