South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's golf team was named a recipient of the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team GPA Award, the organization announced Tuesday. The Pirates produced the 11th best team GPA in the nation this past season at 3.850.

The WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award recognizes the top-25 teams each in Division I, II and III, the top-10 teams in NAIA, and the top team in NJCAA.

This year's team included Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark), Renee Rane (New Delhi, India), Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain), Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia), Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) and Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy). All six of them were named WGCA All-American Scholars earlier this month.

With Seton Hall boasting the 11th highest team GPA among a total of 249 NCAA Div. I women's golf programs across the country, Seton Hall finished in the top four percent of the country in team GPA. The last time the Pirates cracked the top-25 was two years ago when they finished 17th in the country with a team GPA of 3.817.
