Kevin Willard, Bobby Hurley or a surprise?Does Nova really think they can get Willard? Hard for me to buy that.
Already did, at Penn.Where will Fran McCaffery land?
He is only 42. He didn’t do great in Minn, but that’s a hard job in that league and he did make the dance a few times, etc. He’s rebounded from that by doing a really good job at New Mexico. Why does everyone love Pitino all of sudden? He got thrown out of Power Conference (Minnie). Totally in over his head there. I don't see it, and think X could have done a lot better.
Good choice.
I’d be surprised if X can afford Don Dent. He’ll cost $3mil or more. One of the best players in all of CBB.Good hire by them. And he is going to bring his PG with him, I'm sure, among possibly others.
Minnesota seems like a dumpster fire, so I can excuse his lack of performance there, but to your point his UNM team was VERY talented compared to that league. He didn’t need to do much coaching. Why does everyone love Pitino all of sudden? He got thrown out of Power Conference (Minnie). Totally in over his head there. Never know what the Jesuits can pull off.I’d be surprised if X can afford Don Dent. He’ll cost $3mil or more. One of the best players in all of CBB.
The Mountain West has had 10 NCAA tournament teams the past two years. The bottom part is very weak but we've had that in the BE as well.Minnesota seems like a dumpster fire, so I can excuse his lack of performance there, but to your point his UNM team was VERY talented compared to that league. MSG becoming the Pitino Invitational with Rick, son Richard at X, protege Kevin at Nova.
No.Have to assume Willard is Nova’s #1 right now. But they must have some wildcard. Could Jay return for one year?
Richard is a very good hire at X. And it makes the brief talk of Luke Murray getting a sniff there as pie-in-the-sky.He is only 42. I’m not saying it’s a direct parallel, but McDermott who is almost 20 years older wasn’t near as good during his 4 year stint at a power school and he’s obviously been terrific at Creighton. When Creighton hired him, many would have scoffed at that b/c of how his 4 years at Iowa St transpired.
