I understand one is a HOF coach however regarding the off the court stuff, Sha can really learn a thing or 2 from Rick. Do you see how active he is on social media? Do you see how he is always shaking hands and kissing babies at alumni events? Do you see how he engages with fans? What about the foresight to agree to a season long documentary on Vice TV? Do you think Sha would agree to a documentary if he were presented with the chance? How about how rude he is to the media? X and Os are 1 thing but this is easy stuff

Someone stealing 2.8M for the University should at least have some self awareness to implement some of these easy actions.

That is not fair to Sha. He is in the infancy years of his head coaching life. He still is years away from building a resume of success. Expecting him to bring the charisma of Pitino to the job is ludicrous.

Pitino is in the GOAT talk of college basketball coaches with a very few.

It is like saying you want Jalen Brunson to be Lebron James. Only a very few ever achieve that level of success.

Sha is a very good coach. Does he need some more polish with off court stuff? Sure

But I think more shade should be thrown at the Administration at SHU that underestimated the power of having an NIL infrastructure in place. The top schools were keying on NIL years ago with establishment of collectives

I agree that the administration deserves more blame than Sha as far as NIL goes, but that ends after this year.

Will Sha learn from this season and embrace doing all he can to bring in donations? Whether he likes it or not, he is now the face of the university and he’s going to have to take the lead (publicly at least) on fundraising.

I think that will be more important than anything he does on the court.

If pitino coached this current pirate team would they be better than they are currently ?
If Holloway coached this current st johns team would they be better than they are currently?

If pitino is such a great coach the answer should be yes . This pirate team would be better..

You really don't think based on his resume -- put this year aside -- that Pitino isn't a great coach?
