PJ didn't want to deal with players and their handlers 30 years ago, that's why he jumped to the NBA. On what planet would he want to deal with all that as GM now? Besides, PJ loves Cascadia and settled there after his tenure as the last coach of the Sonics. Why on earth would a 76 year old with that history want to sign up for the disaster of the sport today when he's got a great broadcaster gig and mostly stays on the west coast until March?

AG as GM would be a fantastic grab, not sure he would want to coach college. The Knicks should be calling AG if Mike Malone (the obvious first choice) doesn't work out.

Appears by now the Knicks really didn't have a plan for an heir apparent. The longer the impasse goes, [I} look for focus to recycle to Hurley: huge bucks, long contract, and an open lesson plan to move forward.
