This is going to be a tough game at Colorado. Probably looking at a mid 60’s type of contest.,The travel and prep time for this game make it more than challenging., The good news I guess is that the season did not end on a last second block at the rim by a DePaul player. It will be fascinating to see how the players respond.,The players themselves must overcome the altitude and late start. Love to see them play ticked off and with edge. Colorado is decent, but not great. Are the Hall players going to be soft and fold?? For me Samuel and Dawes have to really produce points in this one.

This team may be a lot of things but soft is definitely not one of them. We may not win but I'm confident it won't be due to lack of effort.
I wonder how the Colorado fanbase embraces the game ? Full building or many empty seats? I agree the physical effort will be there.

They don't have spring break for another two weeks, so my guess is students will show up for a 9 p.m. nationally televised game against a novel opponent.

They should’ve stepped up last week.

But I get your point.

Yup, thought after the PC game, we would roll DePaul, but apparently the game in Providence was the outlier. I don't expect our team to have much juice for this game, like the 2012 team that narrowly missed and then barely beat Stony Brook at home (very lucky not to lose it at the buzzer).

Same. I was banking on it for that DePaul game. Plus we had really taken care of business against bad teams all season long even though the DePaul games were closer than the others. In the second half I thought we had taken control of it up 9, but credit them because they kept drilling 3’s.

In Willard’s first year we had a couple strong offensive games out of nowhere that turned out to be flukes. At Syracuse (Hazell’s return), and then maybe a game or two at the end, I think one was against a ranked St. John’s team when Lavin was their coach. That was a similar team to this with good defense and woeful shooting.

Players must step up every game. This team is far from soft. They play hard, they’re just not that talented. Would be nice to build some momentum into this tourney and next year. Let’s go!

Blew out jimmy butler led Marquette at home to end that regular season.

The year before that Marquette beat us in OT at The Rock in a critical Bubble game. Gonzo ranted about starting John Garcia on Senior Night and Marquette hitting open 3’s in the first few minutes. 🙄

You are correct. I think we don’t mean soft physically. In other words can their spirit be broken in a hostile atmosphere. Actually, they are pretty good road team. Aside from Uconn at home there weren’t as many comebacks. On the road they are more galvanized . Rutgers, SJU and Providence for example. Kansas, Marquette and Creighton were the bad ones on the road. Those are 3 schools that could advance in the NCAAS.

I think the team's attitude should be a lot different than that 2012 team's. They were hoping for a spot in the NCAA's and disappointed at being left out - and I think they carried into their performances. This year's team wasn't sure they'd have another game after losing to DePaul, so I'm optimistically thinking they'll be pumped to play.

my high school Bergen Catholic went to Arizona slapped that team around in the huge heat so
