It was really very considerate of them to say hey before we just take our ball and leave why don't you just give us everything and save ourselves the trouble.

Well, of course it will. Why on earth would those four conferences want to split the revenue with all of us? And if they can marginalize those pesky conferences that keep winning the damn thing, all the better.

The Big East should make a counter proposal that for NCAA basketball governance, each league gets one vote for every national championship won in the past decade. So for next year, it would be Big East (5 votes), ACC (3 votes), and Big 12 (2 votes).

The other leagues can vote on whatever sports they are good at.
