NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Zach Prendergast(Horsham, Pa.) was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week and one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week on Monday.

Additionally, sophomore Cullen Dana (Montgomery, N.Y.) and junior Ryan Ramiz (Freehold, N.J.)were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

Prendergast was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week last week after a career-best start in a complete-game shutout against Creighton. He followed it up with a NO-HITTER at Villanova in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday. Prendergast needed only 82 pitches to go the distance and struck out a career-high 10 batters. He pitched to only one batter over the minimum, a hitter that reached on an error in the sixth inning. Prendergast has not allowed a run over his last 23 innings pitched, and has allowed only two over his last four starts.

Dana was dominant, throwing a complete-game shutout in game one of a doubleheader on Sunday at Villanova. Dana went the distance in a seven-inning contest, scattering just four hits and striking out eight batters with just one walk.

Ramiz hit safely in all four games last week and led the Pirates with a .600 batting average. He reached base three times at Rider on Wednesday, going 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored. On Friday against Villanova, Ramiz collected four hits, going 4-for-6 with two doubles and a run scored. In game one of Sunday's doubleheader, he reached base three more times, going 2-for-3 with a walk a stolen base and a run scored. Finally, he went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday at Villanova.

St. John's Anthony Brocato was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Those joining Dana and Ramiz on the honor include: St. John's Sean Mooney and both Sam Hubbe and Tyler Houston of Butler.

The Pirates will return to action on Tuesday, May 16 when they host Monmouth in their 2017 home finale at Owen T. Carroll Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
