Grades still aren't looking great this late in the game. Eligibility for next season at Minnesota is still a big concern, so maybe it will turn out it's better we lost out on him. I sometimes work with one of his AAU coaches.

If he goes to prep school, which I have been saying is likely for months, shu very well could land him in 2018, where he will be a consensus top 50 prospect

That's a good point (no pun intended). AAU people close to him thought that SHU was well positioned and were stunned when he committed to Minn on his visit. In fact I had an interview set up for the Trove with his AAU coach a couple of days after his surprise verbal to Minn.
