Maybe great is an overstatement. But from where he was at the beginning of the season (fouling at a mind boggling rate) to where he ended up (giving SHU serviceable minutes), I think he definitely made some fine progress.

His foul rate stayed remarkably consistent during his 3 seasons at SHU.

2016-17 = 35 in 128 MIN
2015-16 = 38 in 138 MIN
2014-15 = 72 in 265 MIN

The only thing that improved were his FT % and turnover rate. I wish him well but thought he would need to go lower than STL. Hopefully for him (and them) he surprises...

Those stats do show a remarkable consistency. But, he was averaging around 11 fouls per 40 mins from the 2014-2016 season. The first half of last year he continued that trend. During conference play last season he brought that down to 9.5 - still insanely high, but an improvement.

It's a silly argument on my part since he only gave SHU a few minutes per game, but I feel like he was moving in the right direction. I'm done digging my own grave

Maybe SLU offers a specific graduate degree he's interested in? But I get the gist of your post and agree
