Rashed Anthony

But Anthony had a steal or a block if I am not mistaken. He made some other good defensive plays and looked aggressive and comfortable out there.

In the few minutes that I have seen Rasheed Anthony play, it has appeared to me that he can progress to being a solid front court contributor, consistently.

It is interesting that the box score does not indicate that Mike Nzei played his usual minutes tonight.

Nzei could not cover GTown's 4's on the perimeter.

Ish played GREAT defense all game but thought Nezi should have been in down the stretch. Ish's ft shooting is a concern.

Rashed has been playing very good D. Once his offensive game becomes more consistent, Delgado and him will be a great pair at the 5 to go along with the Ish, Nzei combo at the 4, heck might as well throw in the Desi, Veer combo at the 3.

The team depth is finally becoming an asset. There are at least 9 legit high major, BE players on the squad.

We have never had frontcourt depth like this, with 2 legit BE players at each position.

Even the great PJ teams were more limited, with perhaps 8 legit BE players total.

The improved depth permits each player to go all out, 100 percent effort, for each minute they are on the court. They don't have to worry about losing too much quality with foul trouble or injury.

Anthony played his best game as a Pirate last night. He played very good defense without committing fouls, I am pretty sure he had a block and hit that 12 foot jumper. Great job! We need someone who can give Delgado a rest. Georgetown was running three players at Delgado.

I've been very critical of him this season and I must admit he has really settled down and played his best ball the past few games. Well done Rashed!

Willard stated that Rashid was playing very well in practice of late on the post game show.

I think Ish has been good at the foul line. I think LAST NIGHT he literally gave every last ounce of his energy and willpower to succeed and by the end barely had enough strength left to hoist the ball into the air. I give him a complete pass because of it.

With Ish, we have the player we wish we had five of on the team every year, he's the dream team player, junkyard dog, more all in than anyone else on the planet.

I admire him for his commitment and growth.

Sorry, did not intend to coopt the thread from Rashed to Ish. Our rabid group of fans in section 9 were marveling at Rashed's contribution last night. This can only help us in our run.

Does this say more about Anthony or less about Anderson?

Btw - Anthony showed some offense last year. Couldn't happen to a better kid.
