Recruiting class needs…..

Seems like we need 4 or 5 players assuming no other transfers out. I assume we will need the portal to fulfill these needs:

Key needs:
Point Guard with 3PT shooting ability better than 35%
Shooting Guard/Combo Guard - same as above albeit higher 3PT FG%
PF/C: 6’9 plus; mobile, high IQ defensive minded player; outside shooting ability would a plus, but we need someone who can do the basis at a high level.
WF/2G: Coleman replacement, who can do a lot of things, but again, would love higher 3PT FG%
6’6 to 6’8 swingman who could play either 3 or 4 with ability to shoot outside but willing to get boards and D up

Need at least 4 of these 5 to take a step towards major improvement next year.

How about N Hines from Plainfield Hs 6-10 250 lbs 18.8 points per game & 16.9 rebounds per game

It’s early but thinking Godswill and Scotty starting, “studs (or dudes)” new PG, 2G and PF…Dual 6th man, then Aligbe, new Wing, Okorafor, Felton.

The needs haven’t changed, but we have to be willing to spend.

We need a full blown starting backcourt and the SG needs to be able to shoot. An impact big. And Coleman type wing. Sha needs to adapt to floor spacing and using the 3PT shot.

The 5-6 guys we return can be rotational pieces. Dual, Middleton, and Erheriene have some upside and Aligbe can help off the bench.

Other concern I still have is whether or not Shaheen has any bias towards paying these players what they think they;’re worth. You get the feeling that Shaheen holds some animosity with these guys asking for $. Need to get beyond this. The situation is what it is.

Most will leave is my guess. It is like a revolving door for schools like us. My guess is 8 or 9 new players almost every year. Understand some are end of bench guys. The turnover is crazy.
