Correct. Kadary controlled the last 4 minutes of that game. Points, assists, rebounds and steals.
Seen that before…

BTW watched the whole game and he could have had 15 assists if St Johns could shoot/make layups/ not fumble the ball away.

Lack of 3pt shooting may be the Achilles heel for this St Johns team. 1 for 21 today. In 4 BE games they haven't made more than 3 treys in any game. Making up for it with a very strong Defense.

Completely agree with these observations. SJ players booted two or three beautiful feeds from Richmond in the first four minutes of the game. Could easily have been up 10/12-0. The TOs plus abysmal 3 point shooting kept Butler in the game.

Pitino plays a different system than Holloway. He wants to play faster. KR plays at a pace that Holloway prefers. And he had his most consistent season to date with SHU.

And, OMG, what has the SJ coaching staff done with Richmond’s shooting form. The stroke from 3 does not look smooth at all but the form from the foul line is atrocious. He shot 81% last year.

This is not a formula for winning in the NCAAT.

I remember Zuby being a top 40 recruit out of Texas if my memory’s correct. And he’s now in his 3rd year of our high school—often do or die by that time.

Smith (7 assists last year and 13 ppg) was a stud before he came. Wilcher has been a nice story for Pitino—I feel he’s Pitino’s best improvement.

But Luis was a very good player his freshman year before going to St. John’s and Scott was a hugely valuable transfer that was in high demand.

Pitino has definitely done a poor job with Iwuchukwu. Former 5 star that should be better now after he was average in his sophomore season with USC.

With their talent level, I see St. John’s where they should be. No better, no worse.
Zuby was at Kansas so I’m sure he was a highly touted recruit. From how he looked last year off the bat compared to this year it’s absolutely wild. We’ve seen plenty of top 50 kids look like disasters.

It’s easily the biggest issue for them and wasn’t present earlier in the year based on the box scores. Even against other high majors they shot well. I think it’s mental at this point.

Kadary played great down the stretch but I get the sense Pitino is starting to prefer Deivon, who is much more in the mold of his past stars. The downhill, do-it-all machines like Don Mitchell, Peyton Siva, Russdiculous, etc. Richmond is a different type of player, and he doesn’t really fit with Deivon, Luis and Zuby because he can’t create spacing (because he can’t shoot).
