End of an era. Those BE coaches in the 80s and 90s were worth the price of admission.
A wonderful man who brought great joy as one of the original Big East coaches.
I loved his ongoing teasing with John Thompson. May his memory as one of the good guys last for a long, long time.

Hall of Fame college basketball coach Lou Carnesecca, who won more than 500 games at St. John's, has died at the age of 99.

Another one of the great ones. I’m probably in the middle age-wise for our boards, but I’m wondering if our younger fans truly understand the impact that group of coaches and characters, including Louie, had on making the Big East such a part of many of our sports fandoms.
