Of course.Steve, are they trying to end the NIT?
Agree: despite playing in Las Vegas, it has loser written all over it. Bad, tired, demoralized teams from the big conferences not good enough to make the NCAA field of 68. The NIT will be more interesting and competitive with mid majors seeing it as a big(ger) deal. The Crown Tournament is just a stupid idea.
Isn't there a pretty large payout for the participants, including players? I am not sure, but thought I read that somewhere.Agree: despite playing in Las Vegas, it has loser written all over it. Wonder if Crown considered allowing teams knocked out of the dance during first weekend to enter? On the other hand, that might look like loser x 2.
Hopefully enough so we can defend our title!!!!!!How many opt-outs will there be?
It is the future for the non FB schools. the greed that is the Power conferences will take over what is today the Big Dance and make it all about themselves. Some alternative tournaments will come to seed. The Crown Tournament is just a stupid idea.
