It’s a different era. Coaches are pumping more resources into the portal than high school. In my opinion it’s extremely low iq to take multiple freshmen in an era where player development is not a realistic business model. That’s why Tony Bennett retired- that was his thing. It’s also the reason why Rick Pitino said he’s not going to take more than 1 freshman next season.
