Rutgers earns $108M in the Big 10

38 points, he carried us.
Absolutely carried you. Very impressive for freshman. Karaban and rest of the team couldn't make a shot so he took over. Did a good job on defense also.

I felt Kalkbrenner was far too passive and Creighton should have fed him the ball more. Kalk passed every time the double came which is the right play but when the rest of the team is struggling the 7-footer who is shooting 71% from the Field this year should take over. Especially since UConn had both bigs in foul trouble and had to go small with Karaban defending him for a long period down the stretch.

Agreed. On the broadcast they were talking about Karaban being in a major shooting funk. He missed a lot of looks you expect him to make.

McDermott's great, but I thought it was real odd strategy by him having Neal miss the second FT, down 3 with 6 seconds left.

Overall Creighton actually missed some big FTs down the stretch which hurt them.

Agree with Kalkbrenner being too passive. For CU to advance in the NCAAT, he must be more aggressive offensively. He certainly is capable.

There was a debate last year about whether Monteverde could have beaten college teams. We need a renewed debate about whether that team could have made the final four. Cooper Flagg, Liam McNeeley, Asa Newell, Derik Queen, and Robert Wright. All crushing as freshmen.
Been a big year for Freshmen.

Givony's latest Mock Draft has the top 11 picks and 12 of 13 as Freshmen. And most are having excellent college seasons.

  1. Cooper Flagg - Duke
  2. Dylan Harper - Rutgers
  3. Ace Bailey - Rutgers
  4. VJ Edgecombe - Baylor
  5. Kasparas Jakucionis - Illinois
  6. Kon Knueppel - Duke
  7. Khaman Maluach - Duke
  8. Egor Demin - BYU
  9. Jeremiah Fears - Oklahoma
  10. Derik Queen - Maryland
  11. Tre Johnson - Texas
  12. Joan Beringer - France
  13. Liam McNeeley - UConn

Although I would be less inclined to admit this to Creighton fans, Karaban was fouling the heck out of him making it difficult for Kalk to get the ball where he wanted. Still, apparently the refs were fine with it.

He's in one heck of a funk, pretty much since he missed the two free throws that would've given us the Nova game. As far as I'm aware he's not injured at all. I think he's just pressing. Hopefully he gets his mind right before the Big East tournament.

Diarra on the other hand is playing with some severe tendinitis. He's not the same guy. They're putting him on a minute restriction, but Hurley says what he really needs is 5 to 8 weeks rest. Him being healthy eight weeks from now doesn't really help us though.

And somehow they still manage to lose $70M annually. It's impressive.
But some of their more clASSy posters claim it’s a premier educational and athletic institution. They probably belong in an institution. Where’s DOGE when you need them?

Gotta give you props. You call it straight on all points. Refreshing coming from a Husky fanatic. Kudos. I told my Conn buddies that McNeely is going to be the NBA rookie of the year. On the other hand, Karaban's stock is slipping. He might be falling out of the second round. He's going to be a case study of a player who stayed in college too long and lost draft status. He benefited from strong guys around him last year.
