Yep. As we all know, news organizations always tell you the 100% accurate truth which politicians never try to influence.

My opinion is that he read it. If I had to guess why they would walk that back, maybe the backlash afterwards made them realize it was a mistake to include it and wanted to make sure it wasn't taken as official US policy.

I would think most agree that Putin should be out but when words like that come from the president it becomes the nation’s policy. Similar to the the Lindsay Graham situation. That’s dangerous.

even in Lyndsay Graham, he was right. At the time he was premature to say it. However, it is clear thatPutin should not be in power. He has proved that to the world. Whether he gets removed, is another question. I have no issue with what he said.
