Switched from Xavier game to watch Knicks- Spurs. Sandro showed his entire package tonight.
What a line....19 minutes 34 pts... 7for7 from 3... 13 of 14 overall... 9 rebs 3 assists a steal, I think.... fans chanting MVP.... MVP.... MAMU.....
I don't know if this is true, but that would be something...
That's great. Towns couldn't keep up with him. Sandro has such a great, engaging personality. Too funny that he's friends with Flavor Flav. Said Flav flew in to see him and they played 2 on 2 against Sandro's brother and cousin yesterday.

Spurs' Mamukelashvili makes history in 19 minutes
With good friend Flavor Flav hyping a crowd that gleefully flooded Frost Bank Center with MVP chants, Spurs forward Sandro Mamukelashvili scored a career-high 34 points, the most in NBA history when playing fewer than 20 minutes.
This has to be the best story in the NBA this year. He just had an out of body experience and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy. Flavor Fav???? An add on cherry on top. What an unlikely pair. Just adds to the magic of the night. Much respect Mamu.... keep making SHU fans proud.

And I got to watch most of Sandro, and the incredible XU win. A very great hoops night for me. Helped shake off some of the SH disappointment to get me more redy for the next few weeks. If only American could have won one for Tommy Fitz. But we cant have everything.
Yes. I saw the stat line, saw much of the game, knew he was killing it. But more points that any NBA player ever who played less that 20 minutes - that makes it even more incredible. After the stats he put up in the second Q I was shocked he wasnt playing when I tuned back on 2nd half. And with all the threes and dunks and hustle plays, that pass off his three point shot for his teammate's dunk, that said as much about Sandro as anything.

I think Mother Seton was rooting for the Mount. She used to teach catechism at a big rock on the hill above the campus, currently the National Shrine Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes.

Let’s hope he gets a chance to play on a team that gives him a better opportunity on the court.
The respect that Mamu gets from his teammates is genuine..... Champagnie... showing up at his press conf, the game ball.... the good natured pummeling after the game..... It would be nice to see him continue... often the toughest time is right after doing something like this... expectations are through the roof...hard to stay grounded..... I think he will.
