I'll be the first to admit that I expected very little out of these two guys. I expected the PF position to be a weakness this year. I couldn't have been more wrong. These guys make our frontcourt a strength on both sides of the ball.

Did you notice they were on the floor together late with Angel during the run. I love that Willard saw that as a combination that would work.

He does so many things that stops runs and then gives us a chance to score...a double dagger!

Both are glue guys. Both get their hands dirty and do the gutty, gritty work that often doesn't get recognized. I wish they all boxed out like Ish. He's one tough S.O.B. in the paint. I'm sure glad he's on our team.

We now have 2 players that have previously killed us.

Now imagine when one or both of these guys get their interior offense going??

Wow, wow, wow.

what I like about their interior offense atm is that they're TRYING. even just a few games ago they weren't even trying to score unless it was a put back. Tonight against two very skilled bigs they were trying to make baskets down there. Yes they mostly got swatted or were unsuccessful, but you gotta start somewhere.

They have definitely been a positive, and there is a lot of potential there with Sanogo for 2 more years and Nzei for 3 more. If we do get Thompson and Delgado doesn't get any crazy ideas, the frontcourt should be a true college basketball force. I did not expect to say that coming into this year. Keep it up.

Very happy and surprised by our frontcourt this year. It is definitely not a weakness!

From Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article:

Seton Hall sophomore guard Khadeen Carrington and senior Derrick Gordon both missed shots. The problem for Marquette, though, was that as the rebound fluttered around, it found its way into the hands of Pirates sophomore Ismael Sanogo both times. After securing his second offensive board of the possession, Sanogo kicked a pass out to sophomore guard Isaiah Whitehead, who buried a three-pointer.

Sanogo didn't score a single point for Seton Hall (16-6, 6-4) in his 17 minutes of action, but those offensive rebounds helped alter the outcome.
