When these examples of "illegals" on voter rolls have been investigated, the FAR majority have been citizens who were marked as non citizens by error.

Absurd that the court would allow this when congress passed a law for a quiet period of 90 days up to an election.

VA removed citizens from the voter rolls because of alleged citizenship issues, but not actual proven registrations of non citizens. And some which were removed have already confirmed they are in fact citizens.

Another example of if we had a National voter ID system very few of these issues would require any investigation.

I do think we should have voter ID (with provisional ballots and a cure period for the first time it is used)

It's an extraordinarily small issue now and blown way out of proportion because fearmongering works.
If we get a voter ID law, they will just move on to claims of poll workers being paid to ignore the ID, or government workers providing voter IDs to non citizens.

Once you have a Voter ID, it also takes the issue about using driver licenses out of play.

There will always be those that try to subvert a process. But virtually everyone is going to two factor authentication today, so it just makes sense to make the technology work for a more secure election with a backup paper ballot. We have election officials chasing down all these burned ballots, bad actors producing fraud ballots etc.

Having confidence in the process is important for public confidence especially in this hacking day and age.
