Okay, Saturday happened[I saw only the last 5 minutes-UGH!!!]. I had taped the whole thing, but after viewing the last 5, I had no need to see the earlier proceedings.

So let's look forward: DePaulon Sunday, on the road. Great opportunity, saw,, the end of their W vs. GTown, they have some skills, some players[Cain, MacCallum, Strass, the big C], but here's what I see[possibly looking thru "rose colored glasses"]: contrary to the Coach's opinion, I think this team desparately needed a break[esp. Deano], and, thankfully, this 7 day hiatus from gameday, in my opinion, came at just the right moment.

Everybody here knows that there is ability[and Senior ability] on this roster, there is grit on this roster, there is hunger on this roster-these guys were in good shape vs. X with 10 minutes left, and simply ran out of gas late. Call me a blind patriot[can't blame you if you do], but I really want to believe in these guys.

Big East Tourney champs, 2 yrs hence, many heroic wins, many tuff, gutsy performances, I refuse to believe that suddenly these players are going to fold their tent 2nd semester Sr yr, and go down the drain in flames.

I said it last wk before X[and was WRONG], but I'll say it again-I think these players have a few bullets left in their guns-BUT-this DePaul game is pivotal. This, now, is coaching-get the guys going-don't allow them to lose this game, have them ignited over the importance of this contest[and the next 1 at home vs. Prov]

This is the point where a good team can '''will" victories over teams that are used to losing. Doggone it, let's get this done on Sunday-no more BS, no more excuses
