Saturday Bracket Updates​

• Wow! On Friday we just experienced one of the wildest days in years regarding the NCAA tournament bubble, going late into the night, with several teams jostling for position.
  
• Mississippi State (upsetting Tennessee) and Texas A&M (upsetting Kentucky) both got signature wins that should lock up their spots in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
  
• Colorado and New Mexico both added quality wins, and made the Pac-12 and Mountain West tourney finals, respectively. Both these teams should now get NCAA bids.
  
• Providence, Michigan State, St. John's, and Virginia all came up short, and might have some nervous moments during the Selection Show tomorrow.
  
• Virginia in particular may suffer some nightmares tonight, as they were up three points and shooting a free throw late. The FT missed and NC State then hit a banked-in three pointer at the buzzer to send the game to OT, and win.
  
• Speaking of NC State, they are in one of three realistic bid thief situations, facing North Carolina in the ACC Final today.
  
• Other potential bid thiefs include Oregon, who upset Arizona and will play for the Pac-12 title, plus anyone but Florida Atlantic winning the American conference tournament.
  
• 13 automatic NCAA bids will be earned today, with 8 of them in one-bid leagues where the next Cinderella may emerge. Akron, Grand Canyon, and Vermont are just a few dangerous teams trying to qualify today.
