SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall head coach Allison Yaeger officially announced on Thursday that Madison Salkowski (Cold Spring, Ky.) has signed a national letter of intent to play women’s volleyball at Seton Hall University beginning in the fall of 2016.
“Madison is a strong addition to our middle blocker position,” Yaeger said. “Not only will Madison help with our fast offense, but she is a huge blocking threat. Madison is one of the hardest-working athletes that we have ever recruited and that has really shown in the achievements that she has received. I am very excited for her to be a part of our volleyball family.”
An Under Armour All-American Honorable Mention and Second Team All-State selection, Salkowski is an offensive middle blocker who helped lead Notre Dame Academy to an impressive 121-29 in four years. Salkowski’s teams won four straight 34th district and ninth region titles, while finishing second at the Kentucky State tournament twice. For her career, she recorded more than 550 kills and 250 total blocks, while maintaining a strong .337 attack percentage.
Salkowski’s arrival will reduce the loss felt from the graduation of All-BIG EAST middle blocker Amanda Hansen.
