Energy represents abou 7% of the weighting of CPI calculation.Biden is saying gas prices down around 30 cents in last month and CPI data doesn’t reflect that so it is out of date.I realize statistics way above his current mental state and most people don’t know CPI weights but you would think one of the identity members of his economic advisers would inform him of this ,but maybe the lie is such good politics why tell the old guy.
