Wichita State has picked up a commitment from Cleveland State grad transfer Anton Grady.

Anton Grady averaged 14.3 points and 7.9 rebounds for Cleveland State in 2014-15. Frank Jansky/Icon Sportswire
Grady, a 6-foot-8 forward who averaged 14.3 points and 7.9 rebounds for the Vikings last season, told ESPN.com that he chose the Shockers over several high-major programs.

He will be eligible to play this season for Wichita State.

Gregg Marshall's Shockers return their backcourt of Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet. Wichita State loses starting big man Darius Carter, but Grady -- if healthy -- could provide a huge lift for a team that is expected to be the favorite to win the Missouri Valley again next season. Including high school, Grady had been plagued by knee injuries requiring three surgeries before remaining healthy throughout the 2014-15 season.

unbelievable how much activity is going on with the transfers. It's like Free Agency in Baseball.

My gut is this rule will go the way of the hardship rule and there will be a one year sit out period.

WSU is going to be real good with this kid.

Seemed to have a bit of an "attitude" in their late season conference and conference tourney games I watched last year.

But VERY skilled.
