SHU vs Depaul

Hopefully less falling down and turning the ball over in the second half. I wonder if Middleton is done for the game.

No question, this squad is the worst mbb major or upper mid major in the country. They have no skill or basketball iq.

Their only redeeming quality is they try hard. So sad to watch, and can't wait for April to remove this year from our memory.

That is spot on. Many posters me included last year said players like Dawes has low basketball IQ, made poor decisions etc. but he and others had a skill set. Dawes could shoot was $ on FTs. This team other than Coleman has no basketball skills sets.

Team is bad and having a couple injuries makes it worst. Tough to watch. Season is lost but was expecting more competitive game vs. a team like DePaul.

Just remember, it took a major 2nd half comeback AND a last second 3 just to take DePaul to OT the first time. Otherwise we’re winless in the Big East and swept by a laughingstock….

What recruit will willingly choose to come here after this season? Unless we out bid other schools(not possible)

Remind me why the price of season tickets went up this year?
Maybe the idiots that run our basketball program will raise them again so that they have no fans in the seats at all next year.

Not only because it was DePaul --which has very little talent -- but this was just as dreadful a showing as I remember. The Team was not ready at start of either half. The team was horrible on D but worse on running an Offense and shooting Free Throws.Sha has to take responsibility for this mess as a first step in becoming a better Coach.

The vaunted defense is defenseless. Sad.
This is the biggest surprise.

Athletes should be able to defend on some level regardless of the basketball skills.

Preseason if one predicted we would defend at the level we have…..can’t even imagine the responses.

I really believe Sha will come out of this season a better coach.

We sure as hell better hope so.
Most every coach goes through times in their season or career in which they are humbled, learn and adapt accordingly. Let’s hope that proves the case here.

Also a good lesson in how folks “rate” coaches. The opinions folks sometimes have on established coaches are wild, especially ones who have shown they are at or near the top of the sport with a track record to prove it.

Well thank God that lacrosse season officially opened Saturday. I'll be making a lot of trips to Baltimore to watch Hopkins & Loyola. Now I don't have to bother wondering how bad we'll be getting our ass kicked each week and listening about how much more money the program needs. Face it, college hoops is finished, greed has killed it.

Just hard to believe thst DePaul had better talent -- Hall could not crack that D ? Hall stands around on D -runs a sideways O and gets blitzed to start each half ? And better yet , Hall slows up the Game?

Pretty much sums up the whole season & the future of college hoops in general---

Sha has been complaining about injuries since he got here. All 3 years. He says he never knows who's available and if you ask him about an injured player he says "I don't know."

This is ridiculous. Is he saying players are unpredictable and you never know when they will say they can't go? Or is he unhappy with our trainers and doctors for their decision-making and being overly careful?

Sha on practice problems: “This has been the most frustrating thing for me as a coach. I don’t even know who I have in practice until practice starts. I’m not complaining or whining – I’m a big boy. But I come to practice and I don’t know who’s practicing (due to injuries and illnesses)…What you thought is your practice plan now has to change because those guys are not in. It’s been like that for two months."

It shows a lack of ability and poor management on Holloway's part. The good college basketball coaches have always known every little in and out of their program from top to bottom. This guy doesn't know who he has available for practice? Major red flag.

And opens his mouth and admits it to boot.

Speak with your wallets. Dont attend anymore games and dont renew seasons tickets....they will then act

I realize I’m not paying close attention to DePaul this year, but I had no idea Lavall Jordan was on DePaul’s staff.
Yep, Holtmann his former boss at Butler, Holtmann got canned from Ohio State after moving on from Butler and Jordan got canned from Butler. Is Matta doing any better? Not sure. Glad Holtmann brought Jordan with him to DePaul. Two head coaches on the staff to keep us in the cellar unless SHU leadership and head coach wakes up!

Coleman ain’t so hot lately either. Cut em all loose including the ineffective coaching staff.
