Bozzella has had a history of his teams slipping down the stretch.

In a must win match against the 11th seed Xavier. They start the game with no energy and miss their first 10 shots. Down 14.5 after 10 minutes.

Hopefully they gain focus and turn it up in the 2nd quarter.

Down 10 at the half in what might be one of the worst halves of basketball by both teams you’ll ever see. I never knew how historically terrible Xavier women’s basketball has been.

Agreed. Pathetic effort by a team crying they were being disrespected, despite being blown out against every ncaa tournament level team they faced.

Scoring 15 in a half against a Tier 4 type team. Lot of work needed in 3rd quarter.

Awful basketball Lloyd, but they pulled off a win, with constant pressing to squeak by, with 20+ Xavier tos.

That said, unless they win in the semis and are competitive in the final vs Uconn, they have an extremely low probability to play in the ncaa

The women shot 1 -10 from the three and 13 - 53 from the field for 24,5 % from the field both horrible stats .

It was horrible, but the only thing that really matters for them this weekend is to beat Creighton and not lose by 50 to UConn. They even needed Creighton to be the semifinal opponent, which almost didn’t happen. Playing Georgetown today wouldn’t have helped.

ESPN as us as the seventh team out as of this morning. Frankly, we've done ourselves no favors in these two meetings with Xavier.

Realistically, we need to win the BET to get a bid in my view. Beating UConn would probably be enough if the auto bid didn't come with it.

One (semi) positive from our perspective. Marquette lost and ESPN now has them behind us. We're probably no longer competing with them for a bid although it doesn't help our resume (as our best win to this point) that they went out in the quarters.

They did survive and that's what counts. Their trap is excellent and got them through it. I think it they were nervous out of the gate. Jada and Faith have to shoot better today for any chance vs Creighton. The one thing they need to do is stay under control. Low percentage shots and turnovers kill them, Faith has been overworked and is trying to do too much now. If they play with the focus they had at Marquette they can beat Creighton, The Hall's absolute nemesis team. It will be great when some of these Creighton gals graduate. Have to limit them to 12 made threes and maybe less than that. That is how good they shoot beyond the Arc. Tough task today. They need this Quad 1 win for any chance for a bid and even that will probably not be enough. The Seton Hall's Women's Team are trending up and they have had a rock solid season. Catalon is a player to watch moving forward.

Another slow start down 17. It’s like they’ve never played Creighton before.

6 points in the first Quarter in the biggest game of the season. Looks like playing on the National stage has them frazzled.

Better 2nd quarter has given them a punchers chance in 2nd half. Down 11 at half.

They made nice run to cut from 23 to 11 at half. Still will be tough to come all the way back but have a bit of hope. Got some foul trouble.
