MEDIA ADVISORY
The following information is shared for external media covering the Mass of the Resurrection (funeral liturgy) for “Lou” Carnesecca scheduled for Friday, December 6 at 10am at St. John’s.
NOTE:
At the request of the Carnesecca family, the only camera permitted in St. Thomas More Church is the camera capturing the livestream of the liturgy. A raw Vimeo file of the funeral service will be shared after the liturgy.
DAY OF EVENT: ARRIVE EARLY!
Enter the Queens Campus at Main Gate 1 (Utopia Parkway and Kildare Road) and proceed to the Public Safety booth. The guard will direct you to parking. Media trucks will be parked on the road adjacent to St. Thomas More Church on University Road closer to Gate 7. Be aware that regular classes are in session.

St. Thomas More Church is #26 on map, adjacent to Gate 7.
Carnesecca Arena is #2 on the campus map adjacent to Gate 4.
The lobby of Carnesecca Arena will be open if you wish to do a stand-up next to the Lou Carnesecca statue.
Before and after the liturgy, media will be in a designated pen adjacent to St. Thomas More Church to capture footage of the arrival and departure of the funeral procession. While the liturgy is taking place you can view a livestream of the service in the Rev. Joseph Daly Conference Room located inside St. Thomas More Church.
One-on-one interviews can take place inside this conference room before and after the liturgy.
