Interesting benchmarks for salary. Lavin was making a base of $1.8M and had requested a raise as part of his extension negotiation. Mullin is making a base of $2.3M. What I've heard is that Mullin is extremely close with Carneseca and positioned that if this wasn't the time for him to take the HC position, he probably would not be interested again, if they re-upped Lavin for 3-5 years. Louie still has a ton of pull at SJU. Didn't realize it, but Mullin and Slice went to the same H.S. Also heard Mullin could potentially pull in a big haul (they are feeling very good about Diallo), and there are a few others that if they went his way would be huge. No surprise, but was also told Chris is everywhere...recruits, donors, etc.
