VANCOUVER, CANADA – Seton Hall men's golf graduate Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) officially began his professional career on the MacKenzie Tour, PGA Canada, at the Freedom 55 Financial Open last weekend.

The 2016 collegiate graduate made the cut in his first tournament and tied for 65th place with a 1-over-par, 71-69-74-75-289. Lee McCoy won the event by eight strokes at 20-under-par.

Snouffer played for the Pirates for two years after transferring from Adelphi University. Named to the All-BIG EAST Team in 2015, he was a two-time Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar and ranks fifth all-time at Seton Hall with a 74.10 career stroke average.

Saw Lloyd Jefferson Go's picture on the USGA homepage today with the Pirate logo on his shirt. US Open sectional qualifying is today. Unfortunately it looks like he didn't make it.

Pretty steady 36 holes. 6 birdies and two bogeys, all the rest pars. Missed tying for the last spot by 3 strokes.

Among the hardest thing to qualify for. The US Open sectional is very tough and is often populated with pros. Pat wilson from NJ who played at St John's (older brother of Cory who played for us) qualified a few years ago. Don't know if SHU has ever had a player or former player make it. Eugene Smith perhaps but I'm unsure.
