IMO, there are multiple factors that have contributed (breakdown of the family unit, social media/MSM opinion news, lack of accountability, etc.). All of the precipitous declines were alarming, but the one that struck me most was "community involvement" (47% to 27%). Some of the most fundamental issues need to be addressed by the community at the local level (education, affordable housing, law enforcement/safety) and if people don't think community involvement isn't' important, all those will suffer.Hard to put your finger on any one thing responsible for these changes but the educational process is definitely high on the list of possible causes. Of course money is the root of all evil, so it’s not hard to assume that the introduction of the word trillion during budget talks has something to do with the rot of our nation as well.
