Sorry but I cant

Why is USA Today article saying there were no plans, but then saying the club is awaiting a new date from White House?

The comments came as a surprise to Yankees officials, who had no such plans for the president's appearance, according to a person who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Trump later canceled the plans citing a scheduling conflict. The club is now awaiting the White House to provide a new date, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation.

The date was never the issue.

The issue was that the toddler in chief made it up because he was jealous.

I get what you're saying. But why is UsA Today saying the club is awaiting a new date. Maybe it was written poorly but it sounds like the person familiar they reference is within the Yankee organization.

It appears that Trump saw Fauci was going to throw the first pitch at a game so he told someone to call the Yankees, and just decided to announce it before they agreed on anything.

I don't think the Yankees really want to be a part of saying no to the president, so if I had to guess I would think they are just being politically correct with that answer but could still try to have him show up eventually.

So if Trump throws out a first pitch for them was he lying or not? Seems your explanation is saying either way he lied.

Right. He lied about an agreement reached where he would through out the first pitch on August 15th.

That was not true.

Hmm if he throws out a first pitch this year for the Yankees I think it would be hard pressed to call him a liar (about this issue). Miscommunication happens.

I guess, kind of like when my wife texts me after work if I remembered I am supposed to meet her at her parents house for dinner. Doesn't really matter if I say "Yes" as long a I get there eventually.

Lol that was actually funny.

However, I think Trump has ties to the organization. I don't think it's far fetched to think a buddy of his offered it up without clearing it thru all the necessary hurdles. Believe me, Trump lies alot, I don't think this Yankee thing is the gotcha moment.

U think he asked rudy to call randy levine or lonn trost? Lmao

This is another fake news story. There were several tweets last week saying Yankee officials were confirming trump was going to throw out the first pitch. Look at below from a tweet last Thursday.

I believe he has a relationship with Randy Levine and an open invite to throw out a pitch. So it was more like,
“hey come over anytime our door is always open!”
“Great, I’ll come over next weekend.“
“Actually we have plans next weekend.”

Yeah, not really a big deal.
Just pretty clear it wasn’t approved up the chain at the Yankees which is why Trump came out with the absurd response that he was too busy dealing with the China Virus... lol.

After seeing Fauci's pitch, I know Seton75 would do better.
I threw my arm out too.

The president is the same lowlife who called the post anonymously to spread positives about even his sex life. Of course he fooled no one. Wake up. He is an assclownjerkoff old dope who america elected. He did this for the same reason he does most things. To help him personally or to deflect the conversation. Big deal. Nope. Pathetic. Yup.

I would love to see you guys react to a dem who acted exactly like this guy.

This is the perfect time for him to throw a "first pitch." No one is in the stands. Do you think he'd do it in NYC or DC if people were present who would boo him out of the park, and on TV? And next year.....

Don’t see many here supporting Trumps behavior...butt hurt?

Trump should have nothing to do with MLB. Neither should we. I don't think anyone will be watching, but still. ..
What do you tell the nexr prospect from shu, dont go to mlb because they care about social justice and human rights solidarity even though 8 percent of the rosters are black? Passport to s korea or japan?

trump could throw out a first pitch in 10 years and eventually hed be right

Trump Derangement Syndrome is real.

Sure, on both sides.

Trump is out there creating doubts about election security and our ability to count votes... Some will call that another example of Trump being a fascist, and some will brush it off and say Trump is just kidding.

The truth there is somewhere between those two... but no other president would be doing that.

Some people think Trump allowed Putin to kill American soldiers, and some will say that the reporting was fake news.

The truth is somewhere in the middle, but no president would be attempting to downplay the story like Trump did.

Etc... on a myriad of issues.
