Apparently, Space X has stopped Ukrainian military from using the satellite for military uses. SpaceX claims that it was only supposed to be for civilian operations and for military communications. What do people think about this?

I understand that a company would not want its technology for military and offensive purposes. On the other hand, Ukraine is using it for defensive military purposes because they were invaded by a much more powerful military.

To me, I don’t understand how you don’t want to help Ukraine out in this situation. They are the victims in this case and should be supported in every way including militarily by this tech. https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/09/politics/spacex-ukrainian-troops-satellite-technology/index.html

If that level of support was valuable to Ukraine, and the US is supporting Ukraine, we should be paying SpaceX.

I’m not sure a private company should be picking a side in aiding a foreign government in a war outside of being contracted to do so, so no issue from my perspective related to turning off military access.

Businesses shouldn't be choosing sides. Unfortunately, we have seen this creep into society over the last two decades. Corporatism/corporate fascism, call it whatever you want.
