With the season under way. Shouldn’t the players be doing something with their name, image, or likeness to earn their money? Where’s the meet and greets, the autograph sessions, the private events? Where’s Mike McBride, does he do anything during the season or does he only come out in the off season like the groundhog to beg for donations only to disappear again?

Where’s the incentive for anybody to give to NIL? Where’s the incentive to go to the games? $75 per seat to sit in the 100 section to watch this team? Are they crazy. Two tickets, gas, tolls, parking, food, babysitter. I’d easily be over $350 and get next to nothing out of it.

The whole theory behind nil has gone out with the trash. It's P4P pure and simple--they're pro players. Hopefully there's still a few student athletes out there.
I know. And that’s why it’s going to fail at schools similar to us. Essentially it’s no different than what the retail sector has done with self checkout/bagging.

You’re being asked to replace a feature that used to be provided.

The fans are now responsible for funding the team while receiving no tangible change in what you receive. So either a stake in ownership must be provided or some other tangible effort for your funding. Otherwise where’s the incentive to keep giving towards something that used to be free?

Self checkout is great. This isn't

Ticket prices have just become problematic. My season tickets are only for two seats, and I have been a family of 3 for several years now. When we want to go as a family, I try to sell my pair and then pick up 3 from Ticketmaster. Whether the primary or the secondary market, needing to pay $120-$180 for 3 seats is steep once you add in the money to park and the refreshments. We would love to go to more games together but over $150 each time to do so is just too much.

We get gouged for tickets, for parking, for food, for tickets, for donations, and for NIL. If it sounds like excuses, I accept that, but they have spread me very thin. I am having trouble doing it anymore, particularly when the team sentiment is so bad I can't even unload a ticket for $10.

Would have been nice to have had the season ticket holders holiday party again this year. Sad that we can't get our kids to do something benevolent for supporters during the holiday season. Not sure if it's their unwillingness, Shaheen not allowing it, or the University being oblivious to it, but it's unfortunate.

That’s the old school thinking that I’m talking about. Why is everything only for season ticket holders?

Everything tht goes on with this program is always a secretive club. NIL donors only, season ticket holders only, pirate blue donors only, etc etc etc.

How do you expect to grow the fan base when the only people tht get included are your already existing fans. Of course the ghost man Mike McBride should be thinking of this. But clearly isn’t

Where’s the events for families, how about an open gym for teens? This program asks for your money and then wants nothing to do with you the second the game is over.

Stop the old boy club thinking.

A suggestion. Keep your tickets. Buy a single on the secondary market for cheap and try to sit around your seats. There should be an open seat around there. With this record, and especially the non premium games, there should be some open seats.

That's great except the season ticket holders don't even get that now and haven't for several years now.

While I don't disagree with your thought process, there should in fact be some perks with being a season ticket holder too. That was one of them.

It's a fair suggestion but too difficult with my 5 year old. We either sit together or the three of us don't go. He will just become disruptive bouncing back and forth from mom to dad.

It’s not NIL, it’s P4P. That’s why you see nothing, that’s why we cut the team off from the media or anything. Sha gets his budget and goes to work for better or worse.

Earlier this week one of the tributes to Lou Carnesecca featured an interview he gave on a local NYC station probably the early 1990’s or thereabouts. They specifically asked him when he thought “pay for play” would enter college. His response? It’s already in the minds of people that it will get there. So here we are. Seton Hall needs to embrace the new order.
