St Johns likely no Smith tomorrow

Smith is a huge loss. Certainly helps the story line of the game. Gives SH a much better chance to win and puts the ball in Kadarys hand more. Smith has been one of the more efficient players in the league and in SJ lineup

I know Sha calls the 3 "fools Gold" but sure would help tomorrow if Hall stays hot beyond the line.
In fact , Johnnies are susceptible to 3 shooting Teams.

Opening up the offense more is an area he's going to have to come around on. Cohen and Popkin pressed him on this after the last game and he was trying to get to the point on settling for 3's instead of creating them. A guy shoots it well from 3 and he's unhappy. Dude, it's 2024.

But look at his history. He's been a HC for 7 seasons now and these are his team's ranks nationally in 3PA:FGA: 280, 288, 248, 334, 308, 315, 329.

Agreed the game has changed- he needs to adapt his coaching style and his coaching philosophy.

Every piece of analytics shows that this is better for a team and this is what players want to play under. Especially in the NIL era if you want kids to showcase themselves for a btter spot/professional opportunities then this needs to be a focus.

Agreed. It also would help to open the floor. The offense with Sha is always so bogged down into the middle of the floor. Even this year, guys like Middleton and Jenkins are rarely set up for it.

Sha's attitude toward the 3 is really starting to bother me. It's borderline irrational.

Our guys have 0 discipline and take some really bad looks from 3. Sha’s over emotional and it takes away the balance

This morning's paper has St. John's as a 10.5 pick. Even at the Rock that looks like a safe bet.

So if he is out it hurts the SJU cause. They don't have too much depth. Pitino is going to press the hell out of us and Sha should return the favor. If Seton Hall could get any starter-for SJU in foul trouble it be a tremendous benefit. I just don't see a blowout by SJU. The uniform counts and as we often see in Hall/Rutgers games. SHU needs the "Gus" energy tonight. Play with some attitude.
