We haven't played many quality OOC home games since 2011, but the same could be said for many high majors. In the old BigEast you could play OOC schedules like these and still end up with a top 30 SOS. A BigEast team should have a very high winning percentage against this competition.

Seton Hall is 30-4 in non-conference home games over the past six seasons.

19-26 (.422) in conference home games over the same span. When you consider that Seton Hall has only played four (count them, four!!) KenPom top 100 non-conference opponents at home during this time, it's not surprising to have a record like that. SH has hosted just a single top 50 team (#40 Richmond, 2010-11) over this span.

To date, the average KenPom rating of a Seton Hall non-conference home opponent over this span is 223. Pathetic scheduling.

not true, other teams play good home and homes, this school outside of gw and wichita gets the best games at the november inter sectional tournaments

i would say syracuse traditionally very weak nov and dec

again ooc goal should always be home and home with acc/big ten/sec/big 12 type, once in a while pac-12/wcc, then a-10, aac

you will always have enough nec, ivy, maac locals to choose from and then sprinkle in ovc, a-sun, big south, southern once in a while

The men need to adopt the same thinking about the OOC scheduling that the women have. Anyone, anywhere, anytime!

Willard relies too heavily on our ooc tournaments. They have backfired the past 2 years. When's the last time we played a non conference home game against a ranked team? Won't be any this year

I don't disagree, some schools schedule very very tough OOC schedules but some do not.

As to your second point what do you think we should do when programs from top conferences refuse to play a traditional home and home with us? Unfortunately, it's not as easy as placing a call and the other school says yes. Some schools have no interest whatsoever and others want a 2 for 1 with our home game in NYC. I don't know what the right answer is...but maybe we just have to start taking these one sided deals because the current alternative isn't working

Considering Mercer was terrible last year, GW did not make the NCAA and we lost to both Richmond and Dayton in 2011 and before that under Bobby G. we lost at home to Temple and NC State. Throw in a home loss to FDU along the way and the stat is not very impressive. Got to leave for tonight's game now.
